we use Windows2003 Server.
I have to configure our DNS in a way that our uses can access our homepage
without "www" (hostname)
So for example instead of www.mydomain.com   user can type "mydomain.com"

We installed Windows 2003 Server a few months ago and we're

Hi there. I have two Windows 2000 Servers at my organisation. Both of
them are set up to be DNS servers, one a primary with AD integrated
zones, the other exclusively which is exclusively secondary zones.
I have a number of concerns.

I'm working on getting our DNS server to update automatically (or with
as little manual action as possible) when new printers are installed
on the print server.

Our law office was ordered some sites (which are not hosted our servers)
won't be resolved by our DNS. Does windows 2000 DNS have blacklist to do
this restriction. I can create the sites' zone and give a wrong  ip and
accomplish that. But the sites count to much.

Hi could sombody clear this up for me.
at work have a dedicated root ad domain root.net with its dns zone
root.net, and then have a child ad domain child.root.net with its own
dns zone child.root.net. why would this not have been configured so
