I've been assuming that a caching server clears its cache when rebooted. Dawns on me that i"ve not actually read anywhere authoritative saying so. Does it?

I have 2 AD DC's (Win2k SP4). They both have 2 NIC's. 1 of the NIC's on both servers share the IP address of 10.0.0.1 - the reason for this is so that in the event of a failure of the main server, I take the network cable out of the main server and plug it into the other so that ...

Is it possible to hosting my own email server but hosting my website on another hosting service but under 1 same domain name ? Can 1 domain being pointed by 2 different IP , if my website being hosted by others ? I need to know the concept how it works before i setup. Thanks

I'm mucking around with W2K server and can't get to my own web site from the machine that's hosting it. Sounds like a DNS issue, but I'm a bit of a DNS noob and don't know where to look to fix it. I started with a W2K server, ran dcpromo to create a single domain.

I had a 2K server in a 2K3 domain. I keept getting group policy related errors in the event log. I took the server out of the domain. I got the error stating the the machines as removed but the account was not. I deleted the account from AD. Now, I'm trying to join the domain again

On a new workstation, I successfully join a domain "mydomain.com" Yet after the reboot, I attempt to log in, but the domain "mydomain" is listed in the login drop-down box, not "mydomain.com" login fails.
