My secondary DNS is a mess. I modify the primary dns file directly, but my secondary dns doesn't update. After I modified primary dns file, I updated its SOA too, not sure why the transfer doesn't work. So what I can do now is delete the secondary zone and create again. I am not

we had a conversation a few days ago about my dns servers, and we came to the conclusion that it probably had something to do with my isa server, i have spent sometime looking at that, and everything seems to be ok? is it possible that there is something wrong with the forwarders ...

I issued the command "ipconfig /displaydns" from a command prompt and saw many records. I then issued "ipconfig /flushdns" followed by "ipconfig /displaydns". I saw even more records, including doubleclick.net.

due to many many bizzare reasons we access a host who's TTL is bizarly low, so the cached record stays on our DNS for seconds, then if theres any timeout etc where our DNS cant look it up, we cannot resolve the host, is there any way of getting our DNS box's to ignore the records ...
