My secondary DNS is a mess. I modify the primary dns file directly, but my
secondary dns doesn't update. After I modified primary dns file, I updated
its SOA too, not sure why the transfer doesn't work.
So what I can do now is delete the secondary zone and create again. I am not

have spent sometime looking at that, and everything seems to be ok?

I issued the command "ipconfig /displaydns" from a command prompt
and saw many records. I then issued "ipconfig /flushdns" followed
by "ipconfig /displaydns". I saw even more records, including

due to many many bizzare reasons we access a host who's TTL is bizarly low,
so the cached record stays on our DNS for seconds, then if theres any

Is it possible to use dhcp and dns (running on a windows 2000 server) to hand
out an ip address and a host name?  I am told this is called dynamic dns.  I
have some boxies that will install and OS at bootup and then I need the boxes
to assign a host name as well as an IP address ...
