Dynamic DNS registration failing for some XP machines29 Apr 2005 09:46 GMT1

Windows XP workstations setup to acquire IP addresses through DHCP and
dynamically register their Host (A) resource records with DNS. Note also
that DNS and DHCP are both hosted on the same server.
DNS zone delegation question28 Apr 2005 22:24 GMT1

When setting up a new win2000 pdc, is it necessary to have DHCP and DNS

on the PDC in order for the PDC to function correctly?
DNS and NAT don't seem to like each other28 Apr 2005 14:40 GMT3
I feel dumb as a brick that I can't figure this out! Here's my situation:
For years my company used an ISP that gave us a range of real IP addresses.
I set up DNS and DHCP on my Win2k Server without any trouble and it worked
perfectly. Recently we were solicited by a new ISP that ...

AD Integrated zone deleted, can't recreate secondary zones27 Apr 2005 20:46 GMT9
We have three DCs--DC1, DC2, and DC3. We had an AD Integrated zone for our
forward lookup zone. On DC3, the zone showed as a secondary zone, so I tried
to change the type to an AD integrated zone (right-click, properties,
etc...), but it wouldn't allow it. I didn't write down the ...
