I am using System account on win2003 server for running a windows schedule task which do some custom eactivity. Is it appropriate to use Local system a/c for this or there can be any disadvantage. Or we have to use a new specific a/c for this purpose ?

I am trying to retire a server that was supposedly a DC w. exchange 5.5. A contractor had came in to install Exchange 2000 on a new server and move all the data over from exchange 5.5. I was told he disabled all the exchange services and demoted it.

I got this AMD machine for free. kid did not want it anymore cuz he couldn't get the monitor to work. I said i would use it for parts if he wanted to get rid of it. it is not a bad machine. i could really use it if i could somehow install XP on it. or maybe a different OS.
