I have just setup a couple of windows server 2003 as virtual servers, one in MS Virtual Server R2, one in VmWare Server. They are running on a HP DL385 with one 2.4 Ghz dual-core Opteron and 5 GB of ram, system on mirrored 72Gb disks, virtual servers on 4 300Gb disks in Raid 1+0.

I have got a Hyper-v Host running 3 Virtual Machines. 2 of the 3 loses connectivity Intermittedly and you cant ping them for about 10 - 30 pings. What can the problem be?

Hi, I have got a Hyper-V Server with 3 Virtual servers on it. Every now and then it timeout, the machine seems to run fine but you cant pig it. This happens on 2 of the 3 VM's Where can i start trouble shooting?

I'm wondering does hyper-V allow the guest to see all available cores on the physical machine? I have an application which runs much faster (uses more threads) when it notices that there is more than one core available. Marcus
