I am a developer by trade.
I am looking to buy a server and OS/software in order to do
development/testing and am unsure as to what I should be considering.  
For an OS, I know there is 2008 Hyper-v and Virtual Server.  I don't know

Hi -
We have a W2K3 R2 Enterprise Edition server with a dual quad core Xeon and
16 GB ram running Virtual Server 2005 R2. It is running 5 Virtual Machines.
Every so often one of the virtual machines, always the same one, will hang.

Here's the issue.
I have a server being used for Hyper-V Server.  Currently, the server
has one NIC, I would like to add a second, so I can dedicate the gigabit

So we've done some testing and setup some VMs and are pretty happy with what

I have two quad-core intel processor on my hp dl380g5 server with Windows
2008 Enterprise and the Hyper-V role installed. In Hyper-V I can only see one
processor and that gives me up to 4 logical processors to allocate to a

I am totally unable to connect to the running machines on my Hyper-V enabled
Windows 2008 Standard machine. I can see that they are running via the little

The company i'm working is having 5 different sister companies, one of them
is connected thru fiber as its in seperate building. i want to create DC and
File server for each of the companies which is having near about 150 users
total.
