I am exploring the use of Virtual Server 2005, and have a few basic questions: 1. Is it possible to virtualize an existing server into 2 separate servers? If so, do i simply install the application and trun from there? Or do I need to build it fdrom the ground up?

My windows 2008 server configured hardware Raid 1 for C partition, and Raid 10 (G drive), the rest of the storage. I want to use Hyper-V manager to create a windows 2000 server virtual disk on G drive, later will install SQL version 7.

I'm having a problem with hyper-v, I have a machine 8GB of ram on x64 2k8 enterprise. I can't get hyper-v to allocate more then 4gb to my vm machines. I keep getting the error:

I have moved VPC's around all the time. This time I am trying to move a VPC from one virtual server to another located on another server. For some reason, Whenever i start it up, i get the login, then it blue screens and restarts. I have never experienced this issue before.

I done some research and called Dell but no one can seem to tell me for sure if my Dell 1800 supports Hyper-V. Can someone point me to some documention of supported intel processors and Hyper-V. Or if you happen to know for sure that would be great.
