Can any of you come up with an idea on how to "save state" automatic when shutting down host os? I have set virtual server to save state when virtual service is shut down. But this is not enough. Maybe a timing issue.

There seems to be a problem when moving Windows Server 2008 clients from Virtual Server 2005 to Hyper-V. The Virtual Machine Bus driver does not start. It reports it cannot find enough free resources that it can use (Code 12).

I just installed the rtm of Hyper-V and was converting a few test machines from virtual server 2005. Some of these machines have extra disks that are dynamic disks inside the client machine. It seems that if these are attached to a SCSI controller

I need to test out Windows 2008 VHD evaluation copy. Can I add more RAM to my Vsta computer to host these VHDs? Currently, I have Vista 32 bit computer with 2GB RAM. Can I make it 8GB and will Vista recognize these RAMs? thank You.

Just a quick question. I am running Virtual Server 2005 R2 on in a host cluster. Each host has 16GB of RAM and (2) Quad core CPUs each. In SCVMM, under Hosts, the CPU is being reported as a "2.66 Intel Pentium III Xeon"

I obviously need to remove the additions from VS R2 and VMWare's Tools before moving my VM's to Hyper-V, but what other steps do I need to take? High level or references? Thanks.

I have a virtual server2005 R2 sp1 and have machines on "saved state" and "undo disk" enabled" when i try to restore the save state for the hard drive, and i am getting a HTTP Error 502.1 - bad gateway. and the browser just hang.

I am running VS2005 R2 SP1 on a Win XP Pro SP2 workstation. My XP-Pro machine is a member of a domain, which is *not* accessible at all times. I connect to the main domain (where the Active Directory host is located) via VPN tunneling over the Internet.
