NIC teaming in virtual server31 Jul 2007 22:58 GMT1
Is NIC teaming supported in virtual server?  Not the actual virtual machine
itself, but on the host server?
If so, how can it successfully be done?  We initially setup NIC teaming on a
host server, but it impacted performance more than it improved it.
Connecting VM to directly to internet...31 Jul 2007 21:57 GMT2
Would this work?
- Install new NIC on host machine, set to static non-internet IP (10.x.x.x),
connect cable DSL modem. Turn on firewall.
-On guest, set VM to use that NIC and set to DHCP to grab IP from ISP.

Hello, and thanks for your assistance in advance.  I have a VS 2005 that was
initially set for 40GB.  It has expanded to 100GB because of backups and or
AV software as I was told.  I need to compact it back down to 40GB from
100GB, but when I run the compact utility it says there ...

VM will not start after Server reboot30 Jul 2007 16:20 GMT5
When the Windows 2003 Server SP1 restarts, mostly after an automatic update
requires the server to reboot, the VM's will not start automatically.  They
are all in a Saved Mode, but not started.  The virtual service is running and
restarting this service has no effect on the VM's. ...

Undo, differencing and the location of .vmc and .vhd files27 Jul 2007 15:56 GMT2
It has been my understanding that if you are using undo, then it is better to
have your vhd and vmc files on separate spindles. This is because the undo
file is written to the same location as your vmc file and it means the
virtual machine will run quicker (reading vhd from one ...
