I've installed MS Virtual Server 2005 in my XP, then I run "Virtual Machine Remote Control" in this XP, but I don't know how to connect to the server, I try "vmrc://localhost:5900", it failed, who can help me? Thanks.

I know that Virtual Server afford the possibility to create different types of VirtualDisks: Dynamic, Fixed, Differencing and Linked. What is actually the advantages of one over the other, and in what situation is one preferable that the other.

All, I have installed virtual server and created a 20 GB VHD on an external drive. I am going to install the Guest OS but I want to know if the Guest OS gets written to the VHD file or to the local drive (C:\)

how can i run virtual machines/servers using combine totzl of more then 4 gig. we have a server with 8gig of physical memory. PAE and 3GB is enabled in the boot.ini but i am not able to start up 10 virtual computers running 512k memory?

I have a Virtual server running at at a remote location, however, we hae had some issues with it. If I join the 2003 server (host OS), to the domain, do I have to authencatate to the domain to start at VM?

If I copy the VM's file to another remote server and I then add it to my Virtual server; then will the VM run on the remote machine or the virtual server on which i have added? in other words, will the VM use CPU and memory of the machine where i copied

I have 3 domain controllers virtualized on 2 different Virtual Servers. Both servers are Quad Opterons with 8gb of RAM. Neither are overloaded with VMs at this point. *note this problem is only on 2003 DC's, not 2000, and not regular 2003 member servers.

I can't seem to figure this one out. If I save state on a virtual machine and then move it to another box and try to start it I get "The virtual machine could not be started. The virtual machine could not be started. The account name and password are invalid"

Are there any known problems with this combination. We've run into a problem with VMRC when trying to start it unless the Server is part of a domain. When we do the same thing with a Server 2003 SP1 there is no problem.
