We have 5 VMWare GSX servers and are trying to decide whether to go with ESX
or Virtual Server.
Just installed VS2005 R2 on a Windows 2003 EE server (HP DL360 -- 1 CPU
3Ghz, 2GB RAM).  Yes the RAM and CPU are low but we only want to play with

I can't seem to get a full understanding of the process for going P2V... I have an XP machine that I need to virtualize, and made an image
of it with ghost, but can't figure out how to make the virtual image work! Help!

My physical network adapter for the host computer (i.e. Intel Pro .....) is
not showing up when creating a new virtual network.  So none of my virtual
machines can access the internet.  
Does anyone know how to get the physical network adapter on the host

Is anyone here running Dual Core processor(s) and Virtual Server R2?  I am
reading conflicting postings of whether a single socket, with a dual core
processor installed, will show up as two CPUs for Virtual Server to use or as
one?

I am logged onto my VS host as the domain admin.
Everytime I want to access a virtual machine I have to log on to the guest
web page. Even if I select 'Remember my password' (which it doesnt remember).
Is there a way of not having to log onto each guest and just use the hosts

on wednesday i will install a new hostsystem for our virtual clients.
The new system has 12 GB RAM, but i´m not sure what options in
boot.ini is necessary. OS will be Windows 2003 Enterprise! Should i use
/PAE oder /3G???

I am trying to install VS2005, both the orig and R2 and they both fail
towards the end of install with the following error. Are there any
suggestions on dealing with this?

Hello, I'm running a guest OS that needs to have the ability to see all
traffic going by.  Is there a way in Virtual Server to mirror the physical
port with the virtual network port so that the guest machine sees ALL traffic
going to the physical NIC?

I currently just put our fax server onto a VM.  The fax board I have has 4
ports, plus another modem I have.  I need at least 3 COM ports but Virtual
Server won't let me add any more.  Is there any way around this?  Also, it
won't let me access COM5 or higher of the host machine. ...
