I've got a Win2k3 server guest on a VS SP1 host that, for some odd reason, only detects the IDE hard drive as a PIO device. DMA is not being enabled. I have another Win2k3 server guest on the same host that detects the IDE hard drive as DMA2, and disk performance is LOT'S better ...

I have installed Windows XP Pro (All service packs as of today) on a VM + VM Aditions 13.531. + SCSI Emulation for the Drives. When I install Norton AV 2005 it takes FOREVER to install/register/run updates, etc. and the CfgWiz.exe (Norton) utilizes 100% of the processor.

Hello, I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but I'll give it a shot. I'm using the Microsoft VMRC Client (1.1.465.0) and its screen resolution is set to 1024x768 . I'd like to change this to something higher, say 1600x1200. How can I do this?

I am currently moving some machines to VS but I'm sill on a non-production environment using VS 2005 SP1 Beta. I've read the plans for the launch of the next release is fot the end of this year but I will be needing to go into production in a few weeks from now.
