If I shutdown my virutal server, could I not copy the virtual disk to another file name. That woudl be a backup or in my case, a instant server. I.e. 2003 server with patches would already be installed, I just need to copy it to another file, then tell a new virtual server to ...

Guys I installed VS 2005 (trial) on two seperate PCs to see what they were like performance wise using a operating system on the server. Both using the same .VHD file (as in the operating system) at the same location. One runs fine
