I have windows 2003 ent edt on my HP nw8000 with Virtual Server 2005. Two machines setup with W2003 ent edt installed. But when accessing one of the virtual machines the mouse goes intermittant. Its fine outside of the virtual machines.

Can I just rename these 2 files (hd file as well as the .vmc), edit the xml to make the default paths and name correct, then add the path through the vs admin web page? It seems to work, yet I don't know if this is the correct way.

I have a physical server that is dedicated to being a VS host m/c. It is equipped with 3 NICs for use in firewall testing. One of the NICs is configured on an operational subnet for managemet access purposes. As far as the host is concerned the other 2 NICs are irrelevant.

I downloaded the VSMT file to my XP machine for use on our Virtual Server but it seems to have no extension and cannot open it. My question is can I only open the file once its on the VS machine with all the other componets in place?

There is a problem with the way System Information (from Help and Support \ Tools - System Information) reports memory capacity on a Windows Server 2003 EE VM. The Memory (RAM) capacity shows only 64 Mb, no matter how much memory you have allocated to the VM.

Running Virtual Server 2005 on W2k3 with 4 virtual machines (W2k3). All 4 off them are working fine. The problem is that when I insert a CD and want to read/copy something from it I have to reboot the virtual server before I can access it. (this happens with all virtual servers)

This is occuring on 2 separate host machines, both with Gigabit NIC's. After the VM has been running for "a while", it mysteriously disappears from the network, no ping, nothing. One of the VM's is a web development server that disappears during a VS.NET
