If the sorce server is abc.local is abc.lan "different" in the meaning of
the migration advice from Microsoft?

I am having a problem with the monitoring feature in small business 2003
server. The problem is I can't view the usage or performance reports. It

Using SBS 2003 Premium.
Windowx XP clients loose the ability to resolve machine names that have
entries in the domain.local forward look-up. Usually a simple ipconfig /renew
will get things working again. This happens one to two times each work day.

I'm unable to use Windows Update on a number of XP clients in our SBS
4.5 network.  Always get the 0x8024402C error when using either Express
Install or Custom Install.
