Adding SBS: DHCP Does Not Work14 Jul 2008 17:11 GMT2
I added a SBS 2003 following http://support.microsoft.com/kb/884453. Then I
changed everything from 172.200.x.x to 10.1.x.x. Since then DHCP does not
work anymore. All computers configured with DHCP pick up an address like

changing DHCP/DC roles of servers14 Jul 2008 15:33 GMT3
I'm thinking about making some changes to our servers that would bring
them more in line with recommended configurations, but I wanted to
check with a few people and make sure these are necessary/advisable
changes.

This follows on from my earlier post today "Problems with DHCP/CEICW after

registry changes. Now, however, I see that the WINS server has a red cross
on it and when I try to expand the node I get  "Cannot ...

Tape backup14 Jul 2008 13:30 GMT14
I have just been to a Microsoft seminar on Small Business Server 2008. I
hear they are removing support for tape because of the failure rate. That is
very, very annoying. Is this just with Microsofts new backup system?
It got me thinking about tape backups though. How often do they ...

Routing stoping from time to time14 Jul 2008 12:06 GMT5
I have a problem with "routing and remote access" on SBS 2003.
Generally this service working fine but sometimes it's stops (there is red
arrow-down in routing console). The time when it's stooping generally is in
night - that's quite weird because nobody is in office.

Terminal Server access14 Jul 2008 09:14 GMT2
We have an internal Windows 2003 TS behind SBS 2003 ISA 2004 with a basic
router.
The TS is used internally and externally via RDP and TSWEB. ISA forwards
both RDP and Web ports (not using default).

We are a small office with about 15 users. We're currently using only
a single server - an SBS server (standard 2003). Since we're using
third party applications which require installations on a server, over
POP Connector failing consistently14 Jul 2008 05:22 GMT6
I have run my SBS2003 SP2 for a few years with very little pain at all.
My incoming mail is captured from an external server via POP and distributed

In the last few weeks, I have been having problems with the connector
