Help needed with Comcast SMTP change17 Jul 2008 18:37 GMT10
Recently Comcast blocked port 25 completely so my SBS (2003) cannot
send email any more.
Fortunately I have two possible SMTP relays - I need to be able to
change SBS to forward all mail through one of these relays.
Installing Windows Small Business Server 2003 SP1 AFTER installing     Windows Server 2003 SP2?17 Jul 2008 18:11 GMT4
I recently installed SP2 for Windows Server 2003 on a Windows Small
Business Server 2003 machine before I realized that MS had released
Windows SBS 2003 SP1.  Is it possible to go ahead with the SBS SP1
updates (Sharepoint SP1, Exchange SP1, XP SP2 and SBS SP1) now that I
Installing post SBS 2003 SP1 updates17 Jul 2008 18:05 GMT7

Q. How to Move 13gb + Retain NTFS Security17 Jul 2008 17:57 GMT7
I need to move 13gb of folders/files from a W2K server to a W23 server
while also retaining security and I'm having big issues. The only way
I found to retain the NTFS security is to do a backup/restore of the
data using a backup program such as ms-backup - however I get backup
Loss of Client Connectivity17 Jul 2008 17:43 GMT5
Having just installed XP SP3 on my clients (and some of the latest updates)
I no longer have connectivity with the server (SBS2003 R1).  I can access
the server through webmail and IMAP externally, but canned access it locally
through Outlook 2003.  The server side seems fine, so ...
setup hangs during "registering components" at 13 min mark17 Jul 2008 17:16 GMT26
Have read and re-read http://support.microsoft.com/kb/839492, as well
as a search of this NG using "registering components" sbs as the
search term, and then a google search of that term -- and it seems
there's no getting getting around a long wait.
Backup Restore question........17 Jul 2008 17:06 GMT2
One of my customers is doing contingency planning.
They are very good about ensuring Backups are run for SBS (and
applications, documents, etc), and they make sure recent copies are
kept off-site as well as in the fireproof safe.
iPhone verifies but won't sync with SBS200317 Jul 2008 16:53 GMT4
I can set up my iPhone to use Exchange on my SBS2003 machine and it
verfies the account, but it does not push any email, contacts or
calendar entries to the phone.
I have been trying since Friday to get this working without any luck
What component of SBS 2003 is the target of this unauthorized access attempt?17 Jul 2008 16:49 GMT2
I am trying to understand which component of SBS 2003 is the target of this
unauthorized access attempt. I occasionally see this same attempt on various
SBS 2003 installations that I manage. This particular attempt was against my
own company's SBS 2003 R2 Premium Ed server. To ...
SBS2003 Exchange17 Jul 2008 16:42 GMT4
Our information store has been dismounting due to Maximum size exceeded.  It
appears thaour max Exchange size is 18GB.  My questions are;
1) Can I increase the size of the exchange?
2) How can I determine which Exchange service pack I am running?
ATTN Al Williams: service control mgr error17 Jul 2008 16:24 GMT4
Well, I solved it for me. I recently installed Trend Worry Free Standard on
a machine that formerly was a member server and that had had the Trend 3.6
client on it. Apparently the 3.6-client uninstall didn't remove some old
devices--TMACTMON, TMEVTMGR, and TMCOMM. In Device ...
WSS 3.0 + Port 80?17 Jul 2008 15:32 GMT16
Right now we don't use WSS 2.0 or companyweb. Is there any reason I
cannot install WSS 3.0 and have it be on port 80? The reasoning for
this is because it seems you cannot map to a Sharepoint store via net
use or the GUI drive mappings if the Sharepoint server is on anything

Curently we are running SBS 2003 and our email server is working like a
champ, but for whatever reason we can't seem to email a specific domain
(bellsouth.net).  We checked and our server is not blacklisted anywhere we've
looked?
