The problem: Using Vista Enterprise, logon to RWW, then attempt to RDP a server. Looks like it's going to work, RDP logon box starts to paint on the screen, then freezes before I get a chance to enter my credentials.

I have setup several SBS systems in the past, but I am OBVIOUSLY having a brain-fart here. I have set the system up and all is working well... I have exchange working using the POP3 connector and I have all the PC's connected to the internal network just fine.

The new Vista machines we just connected to the SBS03 domain are all using the ISA04 client. But I also notice that "Windows firewall" is enabled on the machines and I can't turn it off for the "Domain Profile". Is it good practice to have both firewalls running?

My network includes a server with SBS 2003 r2 sp1, a pc as a router/ firewall with Ipcop installed, and 8 xp pro clients. In SBS-related groups and forums, I fond different proposed solutions to configure DNS, so I would like someone could answer these questions.

few weeks ago i try instal SP1 on my SBS2003 but without success. I don't remember what pbroblem was with that. So my SBS 2003 is without SP1. Few days ago I tyr update my SBS to SP2 but of course it was finished with error :-(

I mistakenly installed Outlook 2003 on the SBS server (arghhh! - was remotely in several machines at the same time and thought I was on the workstation) and, as expected, it clobbered the MAPI. I have uninstalled Outlook and need to recover MAPI. Can I just copy the MAPI dlls ...

My customer has a SBS 2003 (not R2) server. We are now migrating to a new platform, and the first step is to add an additional DC to the domain, which in turn will take over as the DC (the SBS box will be fazed out).

I shutdown a Small Business Server 2003 to attach a UPS. Following a reboot I can no longer see the server on the network. Some basic checks at network level find that I am unable to ping the server but I can ping the rest of the network from a command prompt on the server.
