Vista unable to logon with RDP in Remote Web Workplace26 Jul 2007 23:18 GMT6
The problem: Using Vista Enterprise, logon to RWW, then attempt to RDP
a server. Looks like it's going to work, RDP logon box starts to paint
on the screen, then freezes before I get a chance to enter my
credentials.
RWW Setup - 2003 SBS26 Jul 2007 20:56 GMT4
I have setup several SBS systems in the past, but I am OBVIOUSLY having a
brain-fart here.  I have set the system up and all is working well... I have
exchange working using the POP3  connector and I have all the PC's connected
to the internal network just fine.

I have a user with a strange problem, maybe somebody can explain what is
going on.  we are running sbs 2003 with 'my documents' redirection enabled.
Obviously, when using XP, when browsing "my computer" there is a direct link
to "my documents".  I have a user, when he clicks this ...

'my documents' redirection problem26 Jul 2007 20:29 GMT1
New to SBS2003 but I have one setup with 15 users. There's a feature that
allows you to set all users 'my documents' folder to point to a directory on
the server. I have activated this but users 'my docs' still points to the
local PC directories.  All that happens is some kind of ...
Firewall question with vista and SBS0326 Jul 2007 20:26 GMT2
The new Vista machines we just connected to the SBS03 domain are all using
the ISA04 client.  But I also notice that "Windows firewall" is enabled on
the machines and I can't turn it off for the "Domain Profile".
Is it good practice to have both firewalls running?
DNS configuration26 Jul 2007 20:06 GMT6
My network includes a server with SBS 2003 r2 sp1, a pc as a router/
firewall with Ipcop installed, and 8 xp pro clients. In SBS-related
groups and forums, I fond different proposed solutions to configure
DNS, so I would like someone could answer these questions.
Replace SBS2003 cost with Server Std.26 Jul 2007 19:09 GMT10
It has been propsoed that we abandon SBS to go with Server2003.
For my argument,
What is the approx. cost to replace all that comes with SBS to have Server
Std domain.
SBS 2000 SQL 2000 import to SBS 2003 SQL 200526 Jul 2007 19:08 GMT11
I have to import a SQL 2000 database (currently in SBS 2000) to my new SBS
2003 (Premium) SQL 2005 install.  I have already carried out a backup of the
database and copied it to the new server but am now unsure what to do next.

Restoring MAPI on Exchange 200326 Jul 2007 18:56 GMT2
I mistakenly installed Outlook 2003 on the SBS server (arghhh! - was remotely
in several machines at the same time and thought I was on the workstation)
and, as expected, it clobbered the MAPI.  I have uninstalled Outlook and need
to recover MAPI.  Can I just copy the MAPI dlls ...
Install WSS under /Sharepoint folder26 Jul 2007 18:23 GMT4
When I setup WSS on a Win2k3 SBS system it takes over the http://companyweb
pages.
So internally you access http://companyweb and you get Sharepoint pages.
When you access http://servername you get the default company web page, with

Error trying to add additional x64 DC to SBS domain26 Jul 2007 16:33 GMT1
My customer has a SBS 2003 (not R2) server. We are now migrating to a
new platform, and the first step is to add an additional DC to the
domain, which in turn will take over as the DC (the SBS box will be
fazed out).
SBS network problem ?26 Jul 2007 16:32 GMT2
I shutdown a Small Business Server 2003 to attach a UPS.
Following a reboot I can no longer see the server on the network.
Some basic checks at network level find that I am unable to ping the server
but I can ping the rest of the network from a command prompt on the server.
