Using 2000 Server CD to fix SBS 200023 Jul 2008 19:36 GMT1
We've recently acquired another business and it's server which is running SBS
2000 w/ IIS 5.0 and Exchange 5.0.  They have a corrupted metabase and I need
to reinstall IIS and/or Exchange.  We cannot locate the SBS 2000 CD which I
think may also include Exchange.

I think I originally had the sbs2k server setup as the proxy for the network
for caching reasons, etc.   Our traffic to the internet now goes straight
out through a hardware firewall.
The issue is, when setting up a new user and a number of other tasks, IE

What is the best way to tell if a system is running SBS2k or not?   I was
recently at a customer site and noticed that the Ctrl-alt-del screen and the
start button said server 2000.   So I was sure it was running plain 'ol

I followed Jeff's Swing procedure for testing a move to SBS2003. Everything
tested sofar works.
Now a test laptop running XP that connected earlier connects just fine. Of

I am studying the pitfalls of moving from SBS2000 to SBS 2003.
We have folder redirection enabled for the my doucments folder to the user's
shared folder.
We know that certain file types are excluded from offline use

I use Veritas Backup exec 10d. I conmsider situation when my servers
will be totaly destroyed.
I know that I able to recover system and all data with  IDR whan new
server will be exacly like old one. But can I use IDR to restore
