SBS3000 upgrade stalled due to underscore in netbios domain name28 Feb 2005 19:29 GMT1
It seems what should have been a straightforward upgrade from SBS2000 to
SBS2003 is now a nightmare, because of a little underscore in the domain
netbios name (VAN_INT). Microsoft allowed this in SBS2000 but is not
allowing it in SBS2003 to conform to RFC.
Internet works with Firewall Client Disabled28 Feb 2005 15:51 GMT1
One of our users accidentally disabled the Firewall Client on their
machine.  They were still able to get access to the internet.  Is this
normal, or have I done something wrong in the setup of ISA?
Thank you,

it is grayed out. On the client side, I can pick an IP ...

Mac-Windows Integration27 Feb 2005 19:26 GMT1
Running SBS2K. Added a Mac PowerBook G4 (OS X 10.2.8) to SBS recently.
Everything has gone well except for one thing. How do you create a
"home folder" on the server for the Mac user and have it appear as a
shortcut icon or mapped drive or volume on the Mac client?

Hello all and thanks for all of the good advise that has been dispensed

work well more than likely due to slow upload through my ...
Active Directory after using ntdsutil utiliity25 Feb 2005 15:13 GMT1
Event ID 1103 AD problem.
After trying all available backups, none of which had a valid, non corrupted

option to recover the AD of a Small Business 2000 Server.  The repair worked
