Bit of a long post, but as you'll see, I've tried to check out as much as I
could before posting!
I’ve just completed setup of a SBS2003 R2 server and I’m having a big
problem with getting Outlook 2003 clients to connect to the Exchange server

I need to run multiple domains, so that out going email appears to come
from each separate domain not the primary domain.
Outlook with pop accounts does this by default ie when you hit reply it
automatically goes out on the same domain it came in on.

I have just setup a new user on a windows 2003 SBS server computer and
created theie MS exchange mailbox.
I then set up a connection to the server on a workstation running outlook
2003.

If I telnet to my exchange server from a different domain/subnet I get
the following error when issuing an EHLO command.
500 5.3.3 unrecognized command
If I issue helo, then it is OK. If I issue the EHLO on my subnet then
