We have a single Exchange server. In attempting to setup someone's email account to be able to 'send as' someone else, the test messages bounce back with the message below. How can this be if they exist on the same server / same domain?

This has happened a couple of time. External email arrives at 3:49 AM. Gets delivered to the mailbox, 3 times about 4 hours apart each time. The inbound email was only received once in Exchange but seemingly multiplied.
