I'm migrating to new hardware, Server2003/IIS6/IndexServer3 to box running
same thing.  I installed IIS6, published an asp.net 2 website of 1200 files,
installed IndexServer, and set up a new catalog within ciadv.msc.  Named
everything the same from old to new.  Double-checked ...

Dashes and slashes in my indexing service queries seem to be messing
them up.
I want to find the text "f/a-18" in the catalog.
It's almost as if the slash and dash tell the query that it's the end
