I have a web application on a web server in a DMZ environment which
needs to query and index server using MSIDX.  There is a firewall
between web server and index server, in order for this to work it
appears I need ports 137-139 open on the firewall to allow the query.

I am trying to set up an intranet search facility so that staff can
search for files on our server by file content. The server is running
"Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition" and the files are MS Office
files (.doc, .xls etc.)

I've created a catalog few weeks ago and was working well until now. If  I
query the catalog while the server is indexing, it returns all the matches
without any problem. After the server finishes the indexing process, none of
my queries return results. If  I rescan the folder ...
