I'm new to FP and Sharepoint.  I designed a site using FP2000 on a
Windows 2003 box and my search form worked perfectly when searching for
documentation stored in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\myweb. (When I view source
code of search.htm, useindexserver is set to 0, but the search works

On a 2003 Server in our Web directories there is a folder of .doc files that
are set to be indexed and some get indexed but some do not! There appears to

I am trying to use the IFilters to  extract the text out of the document

For the most Part it seems to work fine but there are a few documents which

create another the Property Set does not fully populate.  But if I
create a catalog pointing to another server the Property Set populates

I am having some trouble setting up indexing service on my machine
(running XP). I have written a website application using asp.net/c#.
This is running 100%, but I am now trying to add "search" functionality

Can Indexing Services use Google Desktop Search plug-ins?  I know that there
is an Ifilter plugin for GDS to use IFilters.

We have around 250 websites on our server and 33 of them are being

Tried to create a new catalog on a server with IS running, and specified the
location of another one of our websites located on a different server, i.e.,
http://www.otherserver.com/  and got an error "invalid location"...  I'm
assuming IS can only index content on the local drive ...

I have a .htm page containing hyperlinks to these documents
