I am running Windows 2003 Server with Indexing Service. I have exclude the
Catalogdirectory and the Datadirectory form the anitviral software online and
cyclic Scanner.
I have installt the IFiler Setup form Acrobate for PDF Files.

i've tried to exclude directories such as e:\profiles\*\Application data\*
or e:\profiles\*\cookies\* from search (the same way System index is made)
but I keep getting error about the path entered.

I noticed that the noise.fra file installed on Windows Server 2003 seems to
use some kind of unicode-like coding (the file includes null characters,
also a fair amount of white spaces). Still Notepad doesn't seem to be able
to read this file properly (UTF-8 looks like the best ...

Is there a way to tell Index server to not index the stuff in the <head>
</head> of our html files? Basically not indexing the meta tags? or is
there a way I can querey the catelog and not return results that have the
keywords in the meta tags?

I had problem by using Webhits.dll for displying Summary of PDF file.
it always return empty page for PDF file. I used IFilter 6.0, Windows
2003, .net 2.0.
Also I got another problem using Webhits for display Summary of Word
