Does Index Server catalog image files such as GIFs, Bitmaps, JPEGs by default? Or are iFilters required? Am I right in saying that the indexing TIF files does require an iFilter? Thanks

I'm setting up a number of catalogs that will service independant searches within one site. Having switched on tracking to gain the vpath, the catalogs seem to have sucked in all the virtual paths from the site, additional to the specific folders I set them to scan.
