I found a page a while ago that stated that MS Index Server handles UNICODE. Now, I have a index server running and it is indexing a directory with files where some of the files are UTF-16 encoded text files containing UNICODE

I used nt4 iis the HTML docs by a VT_FILETIME property works fine , BUT WIN2000 IIS VT_FILETIME property can not display and search ? Can someone please send this(Htmlprop.dll for Win2K) to me? I am having trouble getting the code to compile it.

I have a couple of questions about Index Server. Will it index SHTM files, do you need a seperate filter? Also, in my index it seems to be adding a directory to IIS help files so when you perform a search it brings up these help

Can you index and search a file that is not on the same server with the IIS and Index Server ? Say IIS and Index Server is on a server machine A, and the file is on a server machine B. Can I index and search this file ? Thank you.

I have created an ASP page based on a Microsoft example to query a Windows 2000 Index Server. I am extremely pleased with the reults apart from one extremely irksome anomaly!

I am using indexing service in a law office where there are a large number of WordPerfect files in the document mix. I am using FileMon from SysInternals to monitor the progress of the catalog build. File activity will pause for multiple minutes (sometimes up to 5 minutes)
