I have 2 servers that are indexing the standard web catalog. 1 of my servers will occasionaly stop indexing for some reason and I need to restart the indexing service to get the catalog to work again. Has anyone every seen

Is it possible to get Index Server to only index new documents added to it rather than performing a total reindex ? A collegue found that this is what kept happenning and therefore we have stopped using Index

I'm getting errors when apply a RANK BY WEIGHT(0.5) or somesuch clause to my SQL query to the Index Service on 2003 server. Same with coercion. All I add is the RANK BY and the query dies with a generic error. I have IIS 6 with FP 2002 extensions, thats it.

Arrgh, Frontpage has these VML technology vector based shapes, that can be drawn in any office document and also copied/drawn in Frontpage and viewed over the web. Funny thing is that the words in the html are not being indexed by my beautiful index service and so cannot be searched ...

I'm french (sorry for that and sorry for my english) and i'm using index server but having a problem with accents in query. For example a query "teste" doesn't return "testé". I know we are a lot in this case and microsoft ignores us, that's why i'm a posting a code that works

when I copy some word documents to an indexed directory, they do not appear in the index catalog. But when I open one of them with MS Word and save it with a new file name, the new document is included in the index.
