How to get the lists of
- the files to have to be indexed (but not yet),
- the files in the differed indexing list ("indexation diff?r?e" in French)

On our server we are running severaly catalogues. One of our customers
complains about getting too many results when searching.
For example a search for "Domkapitel" returns documents containing
"Kapitel" but not "Dom"...

We've written an application that relies on Indexing
Service and were wondering if anyone out there has any
experience deploying applications that use IS. We've found
much difficulty in configuring the system on Windows 2000

Is it possible to backup and restore catalog data, instead of complete
repopulation.

I'm using Index Server for the websites I create and do the searching by
using ASP.
Is there a way to tell Index Server to return exact matches only, i.e. when
I search for "drive" I don't want to find "driven", "drove", "Driver" etc.

I have my own property set that I want to expose certain properties of to
index server using a custom IFilter implementation. How do i know what type
or types I should expose the chunk that represents this property as?  For
instance...I want to be able to store a url as a property ...

What type of file should this entry point to?  .txt, .idq...something else?
I understand what the contents of the file should be but as far as what kind
of file extension it should have.  Should it even have a file extension?

Our Word 2000 options are configurated to save files as rtf format with .doc
extensions while the rtf  filter is installed.
Indexing services declare these files like unfiltered files.
What can i do to index these kind of files ?

Are there any godd pages that describe devlopment in ASP for the Index
Server? The MSDN seem to lack the fundamentals or maybe I just can't find
them?

I 've got a strange behavior when I get in a query with
multiple clauses linked by boolean operators like AND OR.  
IndexServer find documents when it should not.

I am unable to search the content in MS publiser files
(.pub) using MS Index server. This files are not even
displayed under unfiltered docs of catalog. Shall i have
to install in IFilter? I haven't find any IFilter for MS
