My system admin tells me that the exhange box has a PTR record - but ...

Outbound SMTP + TLS + Client Cert20 Oct 2008 16:48 GMT1
With IIS 6's SMTP server, is it possible to set up a remote domain
that uses TLS + Client Certificate for outbound connections? The only
certificate setting I see is for inbound SMTP connections. If not, I'm
certain Exchange can do it, but is there a free alternative?
IIS7 SMTP18 Oct 2008 23:06 GMT3
I am having a problem setting up SMTP in IIS7.  I matched (as close as
possible) the settings from IIS6 SMTP settings to the IIS7 settings server
and the mail is not being sent.  When select the “Store e-mail in pickup
directory” the message does get posted.

Regular 2003 server enterprise standard mail works fine.  Telnet SMTP mail
not an issue.

Our email and computer security teams want to tighten up emails being sent

having much luck and was wondering if anyone else has figured this out.

My problem now is, how do I authenticate the users to send outbound mail
