I just installed and configured iis 6.
I added default.aspx in the documentation tab,
and verified that such extension is allowed in the
application configuration. However, when I added

When I create a new website on my 2003 Server/IIS 6 machine, I select the
option to allow anonymous access.  but, when I try and browse the site I get
a permissions issue (401.3 - not authorized).

I am trying to configure IIS to somehow denote between test and
production virtual directories.  I have to have both the test and
production sites on the same server, so I created virtual directories

I have been having an odd, intermittent URl formatting issue. I think the
problem occurs when someone takes the URL from the address bar and pasts it
somewhere. The original url looks something like:
/Default.aspx?site=1&section=3

I have a web server running IIS 6.0 on Server 2003 sp2. We have to use
the setting that causes a PANIC stop is the security log fills
(CrashOnAuditFail=1). I have a job that runs nightly at 11:55pm to

We have two IIS 6.0 Servers that are load balanced..WEBSERVER1 and
WEBSERVER2
Each server has a separate IUSR account.  IUSR_WEBSERVER1 and

Dell Vostro17000, XPPro/SP3, IIS6 installed. Trying to run a plain jane .asp
page and I get this error --  -2147467259 (0x80004005) -- but it does NOT
showup  as a normal client side asp error....just that string prints out on a
