Running IIS6 with both ASP.NET 1.1 and 2.0 applications. Naturally
everything is seperated out by application pool.
When I run this script:

I get the following error when trying to run a web app.

I get "Could not start the World Wide Web Publishing service on Local
Computer.  Error 127: The specified procedure could not be found."  when i
try to start WWW service.
what's missing and how do i get back?

We're having some serious performance issues on a Windows Application
Server.  At randomly intervals, the processor pegs and the machine
just comes to pieces and has to be rebooted.  It's under so much load,
you can't even log into it.

I want to change the identity that IIS runs under, from iuser_computername to
an active directory name. Where can I find a checklist of privileges that my
new account needs to have on a Windows 2003 server?

I enabled IIS7 on Vista Business. A workstation on the LAN can view the
default website. I have enabled the router to forward http to the Vista
Business machine. However, the Shields Up! application at grc.com reports no
webserver at my IP address. Is the problem likely with IIS7 ...

please help me with a strange problem:
I use the WebDav extension in IIS6 to upload files. This works
flawlessly except for a file called "MSB1CACH.LEX". I think this file
belongs to the Microsoft Office suite. This particular file is 1536

We have one exchange 2k3 server, we want to enable SSL on OWA, we want to
replace our self-issued certificate with a third party certificate..
I need a Certificate Signing Request to get that third party certificate.
when I look at the IIS.msc default site/properties/directory ...

I know, IE 7 handles SSL a little better than past versions - :-)
But is there a way to to tell it to stop with the warnings on an SSL
site that I know is secure - but does not have a wildcard SSL Cert ???

I've been searching high and low without luck...
I have IIS6 running on Win2003 with a bunch of asp pages.
Several times a day I will get a pop up window on the server that
states: Memory could not be read at address xxxx error code yyy.

I use IIS6 to publish our intranet , such IIS website is in a x.main.org AD
childomain; there are no issues for x.main.org users to access such website.
The AD domain is a multi-site AD windows2003 domain where there are
a.b.c.d.e..main.org domains.

How does one fix this error?
Setup:
Both me and another admin are Domain Admins, yada, yada.
We have some custom scripts that call IISVBS.

I have a Default Site with port 443 for SSL.
If I have a secondary web site, that uses both 80 and 443 (the same ports)
but with a different header name, when starting this site I get an error
telling that port 443 is already in use, and that I should assign a diffent
