Have IIS up and running from my Home pc.  I can get to it from the office by
IP/page name.  I want to just type in the IP and have the home page come up.  
Is there a naming convention that I need to follow for it to come up without
being specified?

Posted a message yesterday about a server running ASP that after a
while running fine, suddenly the inetinfo process consumes 100% cpu.
The application that is running on the IIS server is a "standard" ASP

I've been having some problem on my webservers. I have three web servers
being load balanced. Every server's CPU goes to 100% every 30min. or less and
stays there. Then I get a lot of this error on my web pages:

I have installed ISAPI filter on IIS6.0 for SPPS running on the same
machine. The filter I have installed is on the "web sites". Now when I
access the SPPS main page, I get ISAPI filter authentication prompt and
I am able to login successfully. SPPS is installed on default web site

When trying to view local webpage it works only when I use 127.0.0.1.
When using localhost, Internet Explorer takes +- 5 minutes to show me an
error message, and during that time the CPU is the whole time at exactly

Hi, I have enabled HTTP compression in IIS6 and set the compression
level to 9 and it works a treat!! My site has sped up by 55%!!!
One problem though. It is a ASP.NET application that created dynamic

Running Windows XP Service Pack 2.
After booting up I can receive e-mail (via Microsoft Exchange) and can
