I want to check some log files from a server using internet explorer. I enabled a virtual folder that browse the server's folder than contains the files but I cannot open the.log extension files. If I rename them to .txt from the server, they are downloadable:

I discovered what appears to be incorrect HTTP header responses being served if I enable http headers in IIS 6.0 in order to reduce client browser re-requests of infrequently changing files. This appears to be related to the IIS 6.0 new Kernel mode cache handler (HTTP.SYS).

For some reason my IIS won't even show the web,smtp services in the Admin snapin, so that I can start it now. I get error -2146893819 Does anyone have any ideas?
