Clearing hung connections in IIS31 Jul 2003 23:02 GMT1
We're using a third party web-based package that requires our users to
log-in.  If a user X's out of Internet Explorer before pressing Log
Out, IIS doesn't and never releases their session.  If they try to log
back in, it says they're already logged in.

All,
I have two webservers with Windows 2000 Server.  Both have
IIS5.0 installed.  I have several sites on each server.  
In the last few days the servers started crashing IIS and

I have a server with Windows 2003 Web Edition installed.
About one out of 20 request to the server takes forever to return data.
If you try go to a site on it, sometimes it takes 30 seconds to a couple of
minutes. Once it starts returning data, it's instant!

I'm trying to setup OWA and I have error icons in front
of my default public, Exchange and Exadmin folders. Is
this a security issue and I don't have the correct
permissions setup for these folders?

I get a repeated error in my System Log which reads:
"IIS Logging unable to create directory. The data is the
error."
Any ideas why we get this?

My web server also encounter the same problem, however, I have try to telnet
(using port 80) to the my web server and then press entre twice, I can't
found any log for such request.

hi everyone..ive been succesfuly running an intranet site
for past one month..suddenly all my asp pages gives http
error 500 or 403. I Disabled friendly http errors in my

My SMTP mail service suddenly just stop working. When there is a down event
detected, our monitoring software will generate a mail and sent it using IIS
SMTP service. However, now all the mails are piled up in the Queue folder.

I've Windows 2000 Advanced Server (SP3).
In 'Internet Information Services' the Web Service is running but the FTP
Service is stopped. If I try to restart the FTP Service I get the error
"Address already in use".
