Compatible ftp/ssl clients for iis 7 ftp27 Oct 2008 16:01 GMT2
I have read the Microsoft literature on configuring IIS7 ftp/ssl.
Mention is made of 3rd party clients. I know from my own experience
that there is considerable variation in implementation among the
different vendors (filezilla, ipswitch, etc).

I use FTP at the Windows XP command prompt to fetch a file
from an FTP server which makes up the file for delivery.
So the Server "lists" the file as 1MB, but the real file
is longer than that.  Consequently the Windows FTP thinks

I setup an FTP site in IIS on a Windows 2008 server and when I go tot he
site, Basic settings, then I click on Test and the Authentication passes just
fine but under Authorization I get this:
The server is configured to use pass-through authentication with a built-in
ftp/ssl options for IIS 611 Oct 2008 00:49 GMT2
I think ftp/ssl is a great idea and can't wait to see it on IIS7, what
about IIS6?
Are there any options?

I'm having a set up problem on my SBS2003 server for ftp. I set up the ftp
root and added the LocalUser path and then the Public  folder and a folder
for a user.  It will accept anonymous logins and take them to the Public
folder just fine but if a user connects they are unable ...
