IIS FTP is a very very odd piece of work. If I create a virtual folder for an AD user, that becomes his home folder. Ok. But is there any way to prevent the user from moving up one level to the home directory of the FTP site?

I'm using CuteFtp 8 in Vista 64. I am trying to transfer a file from my computer to my computer using cuteftp8 as a test. I connect fine but only to /. I cannot change this path.How do I change this so I can try a file transfer?

Where would I find this "ftp log"? I seem to have this same problem in both the BINARY to ASCII send modes. Seems to also have the problem from a "batch script" or if I type the cmds "by hand" from the cmd prompt.

I've read some MS KB articles that suggest using WebDav for secure FTP file transfers. Is this a viable solution to replace IIS FTP without a 3rd party app. for secure files transfers? If so, where can I find a white paper on how to configure WebDav for FTP?

We are running iis 6 on ws2003. We have a few folders that contain 150-200 files each. When we log on and try to list these folders 9 times out of 10 it will time out. If I split the files up into different folders so that each folder contains 50ish files then listing works fine. ...
