I would like to know is it necessary to set connection timeout in a FTP server or is it a good practice? Is the default 120sec too low or too high. Most ftp clients are able to resume up/download once it reached the limit and will reconnect.

We've loaded FTP Publishing Service for IIS 7.0 on a Windows Vista Ultimate system. Using process explorer we've noticed that inetinfo.exe loads. Is FTP for IIS 7.0 basically the IIS 6.0 implementation? Is there any difference?
