Can anyone tell me why my Windows 200 IIS manager FTP site directory security is disabled? In other words, when I go to the Directory Security tab, everything is disabled. How can I enable this stuff?

I'm using Window's IIS FTP server, and I would like to create users that can login to the ftp server, but who do not have an account for the computer that it is hosted on. Is this even possible?

I have an FTP site with user isolation and multiple users but only two of them can access their folders. All others get the message "Windows cannot access this folder, The server name or address could not be resolved" All the users have the same permissions, the folder matches ...

Has anyone used cygwin/OpenSSH or FreeFTPd or FreeSSHd or any other secure FTP solution on a production server that they would recommend? The free solutions are appealing of course, but I would like to know if that will end up being a mistake.

On Windows Server 2003, I have created an FTP site pointing at C:\FTP. Within C:\FTP, there are various subdirectories. These show up when I connect to the site via FTP, but none of these appears in the MMC. Virtual directories do appear. How do I make the physical directories
