I want to direct my clients how to download with ftp utility (in command line mode). I want them to use ftp with one single line - including all the parameters like Username and Password. I saw in the help that its usually done with a text file and -s flag.

I am trying to get a grip on Windows 2000, firewalls and ftp. My understanding is the only way ftp will work is the client needs to set their ftp program (or IE) to passive. This would not make for a very good application. I also don't see an option for other browsers like Firefox.
