As far as I understand, ActiveSync (OMA) used by PDAs compresses the datastream between mobile device and exchange server. Synching with the laptop (Outlook 2003) uses RPC via HTTP. Is there a chance to compress this datastream also?

I have a client with a Samsung i600 smartphone 2002, and we just put in an exchange 2k3 server. Put in all the information the phone had asked for, and we keep getting a message saying it can't connect.

I am using a Sprint Pocket PC 2003 phone. I can sync manually, I can get to the OMA page, and I can even get to the OWA page from the PPC. Howerver, AUTD will not work unless I somehow log into my mailbox from a PC using OWA or Outlook or even OMA on the handheld. It would seem
