My exchange 2000 server crashed and the last backup was corrupted. The only thing I could recover were the log files. I could only restore the databases from a very old backup (1 year ago) and successfully mounted the mailbox store.

I am running Exchange 2003, my priv1.edb database is 11.4GB. I had all my users clean up their mailboxes & I ran ESEUTIL but no additional space was found. If I add up all the mailbox sizes it comes to 7.5GB; why doesn't USEUTIL clean up that space? I know I can upgrade to SP2 ...

I am running out of disk space. My H drive has the edb and stm files under the H:\EXCHSRVR\MTADATA. I just moved the public folders to the G:\ExchangeStore\mdbdata directory successfully. Is there any reason I can't move the priv.stm file to the same directory
