I have been using NTBACKUP for years to make a copy of Exchange 2000 (13 GB) and has been working fine until a few days ago. Now NTBACKUP is hanging when it starts making a copy of Exchange, it creates a 2KB .BKF file and gets

Ooops sorry about that last post.. I was trying to get Exchange Manager to create all new stores (Mailbox & Public). Whenever I click on mount store and then click create new empty database it comes up with the following error:

Will an exchange 2000 database (priv1.edb) shrink on its own over time or do we HAVE to run an offline defrag for the size to go down? Thanks in advance.

Is there a way to control de size of the Badmail folder and maybe control the messages that they don't save there at all? For some reason my server is taking up a lot of space in that folder and I really don't want it to do that.

Our Exchange 2000 Ent IS DB grow , I have try deleted the unused mailbox, but the IS size not change. Can you advice me how to deflag the server command or step. I have checked our server size free size not free 110% size, any way to solve out this problems.
