One of the users told me that he suddenly found 512 old emails in his inbox
these these emails are old emails since 9 months although he deleted them
before.
This is happen before may be 6 months with different user also suddenly he

What could be wrong, if it would be impossible to restore a backup that was
made on 22:00 o'clock the previous day to exactly the same server ? No
exchange, AD, etc. changes in the meantime whatsoever ?
The error message I am getting it 0xC7FE1F42 (and similar) messages ?

Ive inhereted a client whos Exchange server has a corrupted in its Priv.edb
file.
We dont have a good backup..but it is mountable & i have a copy of
Officerecovery Exchange Server Recovery v2.7.

Can it be backed up and removed monthly for archival purposes...?

I have a client running Exchange 2000 (part of SBS 2000), with the latest
service pack installed (3).
Occasionally (say, weekly), the Information Store service goes a little
crazy, with it constantly chewing 40 - 50% CPU time.  Users are unable to

I ran eseutil /p a couple of times on my Windows 2003/Exchange 2003 server.
The priv1.edb always came back with Operation completed successfully with
205 (Unknown Error, Unknown Error).
I looked through the .raw log - no sign of an error with anything other than

last 3 months.  The only way I know that the store is corrupted is when

I ran ESEUTIL /G and it reported no errors yet Veritas detected mailbox
corruption correctly.  Running ISINTEG and ESEUTIL /G and /D repaired the
issue.
Is there a better MS detection or repair utility?
