What could be wrong, if it would be impossible to restore a backup that was made on 22:00 o'clock the previous day to exactly the same server ? No exchange, AD, etc. changes in the meantime whatsoever ? The error message I am getting it 0xC7FE1F42 (and similar) messages ?

Ive inhereted a client whos Exchange server has a corrupted in its Priv.edb file. We dont have a good backup..but it is mountable & i have a copy of Officerecovery Exchange Server Recovery v2.7.

I came across the above feature on the IS and can use it tremendously but can't find any documentation on it...? How can I choose all Emails, where and how are the emails saved...? Can it be backed up and removed monthly for archival purposes...?

I ran ESEUTIL /G and it reported no errors yet Veritas detected mailbox corruption correctly. Running ISINTEG and ESEUTIL /G and /D repaired the issue. Is there a better MS detection or repair utility?
