is there a way to use Exchange 2007 Edge Role with multible Exchange organisations in separate forests? Can I use EdgeSync to config syncronizing with those separate Exchange organisations, or only one Exchange organisation can be used?

Guys, I have one vendor told me that in order to upgrade from 2003 to 2007 . I need to upgrade my DC from server 2003 to R2 . Else it will have some issue on the email routing . is it true ? anyone facing such problem before ?
