I haven't worked before with microsoft exchange but now, I'd like to deploy
one exchange in my enterprise. I don't know if it's better to put it in the
DMZ or inside. I must give access to clients in the internal network and to
some clients in the external network.

Exchange 2007 Email Address policy doesn't have enough options like in
2003!!!
In Exchange 2003 I was able to select a collection of users for example on a
separate store and do a specific RU policy to stamp them with a specific

At the moment  we have an NT/Exch5.5 environment with 1000 m/boxes. The plan
at the moment is to build a clean AD and add a shiny new Exch2007 Org.
My question is, although I will have seperate Exch Orgs - can I coexist in
terms of the GAL and migrate m/boxes from 5.5 to 2007 ?... ...

I have a Virtual OWA 2003 Server to Migrate a to 2007 edge server.  I
was thinking as it is a virtual i might be better to make another new
virtual Edge server.  Is there a white paper with any documentation on
the best way to do this.

I've a question regarding Exchange 2007 .
As the Edge server role could not be installed on the same server as the
other roles , I wonder if is mandatory to have an edge server in the
organization ,it's quite difficult to explain to customer they would need at

Has anyone tested CCR across datacenters yet?  Any idea how much traffic
between nodes are?  We're looking at this scenario for DR, as our failover
requirements are pretty strict, but perhaps may look at SCR if CCR isn't
feasible.  We'll have a thick pipe between datacenters ...

I am facing the following problem.
We have to size an Exchange 2007 environment containing 16000 mailboxes and
a mailbox limit of 50MB. 13000 users will be accessing their mailbox through
OWA and 3000 users will be using Outlook 2007 (not sure if they can use
System folders in Exchange Server 200715 Mar 2007 02:50 GMT3
How to see the Systems folders in E2K7 under public folders.  I am trying to
see the folder as we can see in exchnage 2003 by right clicking "Public
Folder" --> Select "View System Folders".

I need some advise on a procedure i want to test.
I am perfomring a test disater recovery situation and our exchange
environment wil be isolated from the main network.
I am looking at restoring the data from tape to the DR server and then

We have a front-end/back-end Exchange 2k3 config and are looking at external
access.  Can anyone tell me what the load differences would be between using
OWA over HTTPS or RPC over HTTPS (with proxy), if any, or if the load is
split differently for the 2 protocols.
