There have been many posts on the Exchange team blog about performance
planning for Exchange but doesn't cover usage for OWA, IMAP and POP clients.
I'm looking to design an infrastructure for about 40,000 accounts.  Two

How can x7 become in affect, non-authoritative for a e-mail domain and be
able to forward messages to other mail systems with the same name space?

We have 7 specific GC's that are to service the Exchange 2k3 "only" LDAP
requests.
How does one prevent other applications when doing DNS A lookup record
queries and they get a list of domain controllers that include the 7 GC's

Is it at all possible to use Edge Transport in combination with Exchange
Hosted Filtering?
The requirement is "USE a gateway in the perimeter" and Use Exchange Hosted
Services if possible (or find another service provider) for all out going

You must deploy the Client Access server role in each Active
Directory site that contains or will contain a Mailbox server.
Lab testing confirms that a CA in one AD site and will not service a x7

This may be a silly question, but if I have a single Exchange server
environment with no Edge Servers, can I go ahead and disable the
EdgeSync service?

We will have a long running transition from Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2007.
An issue we can't seem to fix is the issue that we need Mailbox users on
Exchange 2000 to enter /exchange in the OWA url and 2007 mailbox users enter
/owa in the url.

I'm putting together an E2k7 solution for a large organization (120k users)
that will be split across to hub sites (60k/60k).  I'm looking at using the
Edge Transport/Edge Sync process with ADAM for perimiter security.

We're designing the interoperability between 2 exchange organization .
The two company have a single forest design ( each) with exchange resources
inside it
The first task we'd like to address is providing a common GAL .

Anyone know if there is a way to change the columns that are displayed when
looking at exchange 2003 distribution lists when viewed with outlook 2003?
The second column by default is "Business Phone" and we'd like to replace
that with "Description".
