I would like to know on how we configure the exchange server to allow
the external  users of the portal to use mail portlets available on
the portal for mailing.

Is this service necessary?  After I have completed configuration of my FE
servers the service will no longer start.  Everything seems to work fine
however.  Just curious since I cannot find anything documented about its use
on this kind of server.

The SRS is not supported on a cluster...I need to know if I can run it on a
Front End Exchange Server.  The FE is the only other Exchange Server that I
will have.  MS article 313646 does not really address the SRS.  Thanks.

I'm just looking for some advice.  My company (about 200 people, 2 locations
(only 15 people in the 2nd location), connected by VPN) has decided to bring
our Exchange Servers back in house.  Here is what I'm thinking of doing, any

Almost programming question here:
Is it possible to write event sink (or use any third party tool) for
changing X-headers in the incoming messages? The task is to remove some
excessive X-headers sent by spammers, before the message is accepted by the

I have 1 Exchange 2000 server, and I just added an Exchange 2003 server, and
moved all of the mailboxes over.  Now, the OWA clients can not access their
E-mail from the Web.  What changes have been made, or must be made in order
for this to work.  I would rather keep the old 2000 ...

All,
We want to upgrade from 5.5 to exchange 2003. In other words, we want to add
a 2003 exchange server to our 5.5 org. Then move all the users and PF over
to the new server.
